The Ladies Acceleration Tour rolled into Wiscasset Speedway on Saturday for their final races of the 2025 season, featuring both the Lady Hornets and Lady Outlaws.

The point standings were shaken up for the Hornets following the $1,000-to-win race the week prior at Speedway 95, propelling Chrissy Rizzuto into the point lead – just 5 points ahead of this year’s “Queen of the Oval” Dalaney Dunn, who entered Championship Day with a win at Wiscasset Speedway already under her belt.

Their competition kicked off with a traditional qualifying heat race. Jody Rose got a great jump on the initial start, leaving drivers battling it out 3-wide for position behind her. She suddenly lost power on the backstretch on lap 1, resulting in a pile-up that collected Cathy Hubble, Julie Ridley, Addie Foster and Rhonda Crain.

Dalaney Dunn got a leg up on the restart, but trouble was brewing behind her as Karigan Glasier made contact with Chrissy Rizzuto, sending Rizzuto for a spin. Glasier was sent to the tail for the restart while Rizzuto was able to keep her position.

Just as the field was going back green, Rizzuto came to a slow and headed to the pits with a flat tire.

Dalaney Dunn elected to restart on the outside and Addie Foster remained glued to her door, clearing Dunn for the top spot on lap 5. Foster took home the heat victory while Karigan Glasier and Dalaney Dunn rounded out the top 3.

Even with the flat tire, Chrissy Rizzuto returned to the track and logged the fastest lap of the race upon her return, clocking a 19.1. Rizzuto’s misfortune resulted in her and Dalaney Dunn entering the feature in a deadlocked tie for the points lead, meaning that whatever driver finished in front of the other would be deemed the official champion.

Jody Rose held early command in the 20-lap feature while Chrissy Rizzuto settled into second. Rizzuto dove to Rose’s inside door, quickly claiming the top spot while Dalaney Dunn began to fade outside of the top 3, effectively ending her points run unless Rizzuto was met with misfortune.

Addie Foster made her way to Chrissy Rizzuto’s door on lap 13. Rizzuto slid up the track, propelling Foster to the lead. Foster took home the victory but was later disqualified following post-race technical inspection, handing the win and the points championship over to Chrissy Rizzuto, who celebrated with her close family in Victory Lane.

One car broke in practice for the $500-to-win Richard Spaulding, Sr. Memorial Race for the Lady Outlaws, leaving 3 drivers to participate in single-lap time trials.

Breanna Tucci put down a blazing lap of 18.375 with a top speed of 73.469 mph, topping the leaderboard. Addie Foster followed with an 18.728 while 2025 division champion Kasie Kolbe timed third with a 19.039.

Breanna Tucci held the early advantage over Addie Foster in the 15-lap feature. Foster made her way to Tucci’s back bumper multiple times over the course of the race but was never quite able to capitalize, taking home second while Kasie Kolbe rounded out the podium in third.

It was a bit of an emotional Victory Lane for Tucci, given that the race memorialized her late Grandfather. She was also joined by her father, Rick Spaulding, in Victory Lane following the race.

An extremely tight points battle led to a very exciting season finale and series founder Betty Nelson was ecstatic with how everything played out. “This season had trials and tribulations, but we all kept the perspective that we are keeping women involved in racing and having fun together. There were a lot of feel-good stories this season that we are all really proud of”, she shared.

The Ladies Acceleration Tour will maintain their relationship with the same 4 tracks in 2026, with the possibility of adding even more to the schedule during the off-season.
